Each year in April, AASP hosts a conference to highlight the impact of disproportionality on African Americans and to encourage strategic responses to strengthen the African American community.

 

The inaugural conference held in April 2018 was titled “Game Changers: African American Leaders Changing the Trajectory of Our Lives, Our Communities, Our Nation” and welcomed 105 attendees.

 

The second conference, “Equity, Race and Community Conversation,” was held in April 2019. With locally and nationally recognized speakers, more than 200 participants attended. 

 

The 2021 AASP Virtual Conference will be held on June 2nd. Stay tuned for more details and the registration link.
